  1. +1, I had the same problem, thought it was because I am in the USA and addresses are different??????
  2. Thanks all, I know its got a Keihin PWK carb with oval slide, not yet sure of the size? I will look at the needle setting real soon and report. Thanks
  3. I recently picked up a very low hour 07 RAGA 300. Seems like she is running a little lean down low. I am using 100 octane race gas with Motorex 100% synthetic oil at 80:1 ratio. The carb has a 45 pilot and a 122 main. I think I am at 3000 feet above sea level and temps now around 50's. I have not looked at the needle as yet. Does anyone know a good set up for these bikes? I am going to try a bigger pilot jet I think...the only thing that has changed is the outdoor temps - getting much colder than a few months back. I am guessing I need to richen her up for the cooler temps.

    Stuck in 5th

The whole in the case is normal - from the factory. I dont know exactly why its there but its there on 2 of my 280's. Also, if you have no issues with the top hat and spring and the bike was shifting well before it jammed you most likely will need to split the motor for inspection. I think the motor weighs approx 60 to 65 pounds - no magneto, no carb, no clutch cover, no clutch, no oil in tranny, yes with top end included.
  5. thanks for your advice. I have the gearbox apart and forks look suspect. I will see
  6. I have a 2002 280 pro that has seen a lot of riding time. I am the second owner. The first was a top calibur rider who probably rode it hard. I am having trouble with the shifting function. It has the case modification where case material was removed to enhance the shifter spring throw- more travel. The engine was torn open once recently to inspect and most all looked really fine. After adjusting the shifter concentric cam 4 times (ugh)I have it down to one problem. When shifting down from 3rd to second gears it does not seem to engage the second gear. Instead it just goes into like a nuetral area of sorts and thus it is not in any gear. The only solution is to attemp to shift back up to third and then try to down shift once again. It down shifts into 2nd gear about 30% of the time. The rest of the time it wont engage and you can only upshift and try again. It does feel like there is some pressure or something binding on the shifter shaft when it goes in this false nuetral spot. All other shifts perform fine. Would you expect bad foks, worn gear dogs, or a probelm with the shifter selector? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
