I found a youtube video dated Sept. 6, the video is worth many thousands of words, my questions are now answered, thank you jrsunt.
watched video yesterday ...great sales tool .....especially the helmet cam....don't like the sound of the new motor .......like my 2017 better......need english translation ..........mass
I've had mine over a year now ...woodn't go back to a gasser...best modification you can make....throw away the stock 9 tooth front sprocket...put on a ten tooth ...even better is an 11 tooth !
I could be in the market for a electric trials bike. like the EM 5.7 , is there any upgrades from the 2017, is the 2018 out yet ?. EM web site or Facebook page don't give much new info.
I do like what I'm hearing on the new Mecatecno T18.
any info from you electric bike guys out there.
dude....check out the 2018 EMs..............................................................http://emmoto.com/models/2019
yo oni ....the lawnmowwer muffler is a vey small little cannister, much like a spark arrester....fits right on the end .
have you ever done any modifications to the middle muffler ?
ya, I know what you mean ...seems to me ,the mid muffler is like an expansion chamber....I do love the power range with the old piston port engine ...but too loud for where I ride
I'm going to try packing the rear muffler ...see how that works .....
So after 20 years of always having a trials bike, I decided to sell it and put the money towards a road bike which I now have and am loving. I also have a trail bike, and the reason for selling the trials bike was that to be honest I enjoyed riding my trail bike more, and had become a little tired of trials after so long. This was probably due to the cost in time and money of living in the south and spending hours in the van driving to trials up north, as they are the ones I would enjoy the most. Anyway to cut a long story short I am now missing my trials bike. I am still loving riding the trail bike but only getting away on that a few times a year. So I have been thinking of a plan. I can't afford a 3rd bike so thought about selling the trail bike and buying a 4RT (
They all have their pluses and minuses. I had 4 GG's, a Beta and two Fantics before my '08 SY250R. They all had their good and bad traits. My Scorpa isn't perfect, but it does everything I ask of it, and there's something about that suspension. Mines got the aluminum Marriocchi (?) forks. No dog bone bearings in the rear end to have to replace constantly either.
Can't quite put my finger on it how it does it, but it's saved my bacon more than a couple of times. Once was last year on the Five Miles of Hell. Got off line and ended up having to jump a huge gap (or drop off a cliff!) So I gassed it and over it went. I never even saw that stinking foot high stump till it was going under the air born front tire. I knew I was going to biff it, but the rear end smacked that stump and soaked it up like it was barely there. If there had been a seat on the thing I'm sure I would have puckered it right off!
I love that Yamaha engine too. I dropped the countershaft sprocket one tooth which makes second and third gear more useable.
hello...ridgrunr....noticed you mentioned you had the aluminum forks.....have you ever ridden an earlier scorpa to notice the difference in front end weight ?
can you loft the front end easier ?...........................masso
Don't tell anyone but i've snealed over here from the GasGas forum,
started trialling last year with a 97 JTX250 which isn't a bad bike from my perspective but now fancy something a little newer and really like the look of the Scorpa's budget wise would be around
What do you want to know? It's at the Honda complex at the Motegi ring. You fly into Tokyo Narita and it's then about 2 hours in a taxi/bus to the complex. Once at the complex there is virtually nothing to do except spend half a day at the Honda museum and of course the Trial itself.
There is only one hotel. It's very expensive and totally sterile. There's nothing to do so everybody congregates in reception for the free wi-fi.
The Trial itself is okay, but nothing spectacular. It has a tendency to rain and I mean REALLY rain. The organisers are very officious to the point of being rude.
If you're thinking of a trip to a world round I'd suggest one of the European ones instead. At least in Europe you can hire a car and understand the road signs
Been once and no desire to ever go back (are you reading this Mr. Miller?!)
well, thank you for that ...thank god for the internet!...all the information one wood need!...
I should be able to figure things out from here ....massso
