  1. Thanks for the quick responses guys... very helpful. I had bought some Dexron III ATF but then read about swelling clutch plates so wasn't sure if I should use it and had also read about not using synthetic oils either. Managed to get in touch with the guy who had it previously and he used Silkoline Light Oil in it ... seemed fine but wasn't sure if that would be ok long term or if there was anything that I should be wary of using that. Looks like it's a case of trying and seeing .. but being careful not to use someting that will cause any damage. Guess I'm just a bit cautious ... apart from when I'm on the bike !
  2. Hi All, Just bought myself a TXT 250 Pro 05 and have now had a couple of run outs on it and had a ball. Anyway I now want to change the oil and keep on top of that but am unsure what the best type of oil to use is. I've read loads and loads of threads on here as well as trawling the internet about what oil to use and it's all great stuff but I'm really confused about what's best. Can anyone offer me a couple of good / safe options for what's best for me to use and then I can try them both and see which works better with my bike? Cheers in advance - Coops
  3. Thanks, I'm just starting back on my own mate, although to be honest it was that friendly there that it didn't matter and soon got chatting to lots of people, (although my first lap was a bit of a struggle and felt really self concious... oh and it's funny what actually having to stay within markers adds pressure wise rather than practicing). Btw, where do you practice, just trying to find places slightly more local? So anyway, what's the injury and when are you back riding? If you fancy catching up next time you're at Frodsham then give me a shout!
  4. Just back to trials after buying a 05 250 Gasser after a long time away from the sport and am thoroughly enjoying being back at it again. Based in Warrington and just done my first comp at Frodsham after a couple of practice sessions... think I may need a bit more practice yet !! Club and trial were great, people and organisers very friendly and helpful .. looking forward to many more there and to visiting some other clubs around the area and remembering how to keep my feet up a bit more !!
