  1. Not sure until I place the order but somewhere between 235.00 to 285.00 USD for the piston and ring set. Let me know if you are interested. Also I am working on a stainless steel head pipe that is larger than stock.
  2. I located a place that will make pistons for my company for the TLM 260. Will anyone be interested in some? I have to buy 5 to get it done. Motoworx is my shop and specialize in aircooled trials bikes. Thanks!!
  3. I would be willing to buy a bigger box for my TLM if it comes up......The carb is a Keihin PWK 28mm. I have one on my 260 and makes a BIG difference.
  4. Looks great...another one with a different pipe and mid box than the stock one.....i'm jealous...lol.
  5. That one is very nice 4 stroke! I'm noticing bits on yours that are similar to the Narita special that i've seen in a mag. Not saying the same one but someone had done some work. Aluminum mid muffler, bigger head pipe, shelter/seat venting, same type muffler, CDI box moved to front downtube( which I noticed on Billy T's Pentax). Does it have a flatside carb?
  6. Thanks! I did spend quite a bit of time on it to get it right. I have to say i've since sold it to a good friend and trials rider and I still love the power and the TY front brake!
  7. Billy T: What was different with the Pentax one to cure that? Also I'm looking for a piston and ring set for mine? Know of any leads? Thanks!
  8. Tried to send a PM with a couple questions but no luck?
  9. Nice shots of you on the Pentax TLM Billy, Now i'm wondering if mine is a pentax model as it has a black pad for seat! Do you remember by chance on how to tell? Since you rode both bikes....your opinion?
  10. My TLR had 215cc high comp piston, ATC 200X head, xr 200 cam, degreed cam, different CDI (more low advance curve) etc......really quite powerful....i know it sounds oxy moron but yes. The Jumbo is together and riding it. It has good power too! much more meat to the bottom.
  11. The forks are from a 86' Yamaha TY 350 along with the front wheel and brake . The handle bar riser is different it comes in 2" rise and 3" rise. I am 6'5" with a bad back so I like my bars high! Makes for interesting steep steps....lol.
  12. That is a good review of both! What a great job on the build Tony... Both look superb! I would really like to have both and pick and choose which to ride on a given day but my wallet ( and wife) just might not like that considering I just built the Jumbo.....Maybe i'll be able to swing it later The TLR I rode last year was a great bike and truthfully had tons of power. Some event's I like 4T and Some I wished for 2T.
  13. Here is another pic, cleaned and rested.....
  14. Seems pretty one sided so far...I rode a Honda TLR 200 last year that was fully built and a Montesa 315r for my modern bike. So yes I like Honda but sold the TLR to close friend/competitor so this year my twin shock is a SWM 350TL. I only got to ride the TLM for 5 mins and it needed a little maint, so I shut it down. Here is a pic from last year on TLR
  15. Just for fun I thought I would start a thread and get opinions on both bikes! I really like them both and have one of the two and possibly could get the other one! . I'm also looking for a set of piston rings for the stock Honda TLM piston.....
  16. I recently bought a 1991 Honda TLM 260 and have been reading through the threads looking for a piston kit or something that might cross over to fit with a little mod?
  17. Hi Majesty...I sent you a PM about the TLM. Thanks!
  18. Here are a couple more clear pics:
  19. Thanks guys....I built it because I can. I'm riding it in the modern class in RMTA and supposedly according to some people in the ITSA, the single shock air cooled class. It has single piston disc brakes and non cartridge fork. We'll see how it goes and if some people don't want to let me play in their club than oh well... Maybe were missing a modified twin shock class? Most bikes are modded anyways. @ Ross. 1. Shocks are the newest version of the Betor alloy 2. I have lost 1/4" of ground clearance 3. The wheel base is resting @ 53" 4. It steers perfect now but not with the stock swingarm! 5. I'm going to a PWK this week and yes I had to re jet. I did go with a longer/more back pressure silencer though. I ran the bike with stock swingarm and brake and the front end was WAY TOO light! It pushed the front end and couldn't keep it on the ground.....The Aprilia climber swingarm... I changed it to twin shock ( obviously) and changed the shock angle from stock and the swingarm is longer as well. The foot pegs for that matter went forward 1/2" and down the same. Now it sticks like glue and steers perfect. That picture is really dark and I'll get a better picture up soon

    Swm Badges

I can get 3D machined aluminum tank badges made but am holding off as the charge is 50.00 USD is the charge to do them. It can drop to 40.00 if I do 20 sets or more......
  21. Well my 350 Jumbo is together and runs great! A few things popped up on the first ride so went back into my shop for some "updates" As it stands right now the bike has: 99 Sherco front forks and triples, Aprilia front wheel, back wheel, swingarm and brakes. I also went to a magura jack hydraulic clutch......what a HUGE improvement over stock!, aluminum plates for CNC footpegs, FMF powercore silencer. Motor has: 84mm piston, new connecting rod, new main bearings, all new trans bearings, modified reed cage with dual stage 2 petal reed and matched cases. Going to a 28mm PWK this week....
  22. I've got a service manual from Can Am and they state on the 280 motor that it is supposed to be .003"- .005" on the piston clearance. I will look later and get the rest of the info. I set mine up at .0025 basically a tight 2 and 1/2". That is on my TL 320.
  23. @ Tony: I will check that out in your blog. It's always good to learn about something you are going to live with for the next couple years It'll be good to see you out there this year again. What are you riding this year? @ B40: yes it's magnesium for the inner cases and the outer covers. Thankfully a good friend who has a ton of Can Am stuff had a couple of them, free of holes! It does say Bombardier on it but that will be covered with a guard anyways! @ Mudyman: yeah I still might repair the one I have also but finding someone who welds magnesium around here is proving difficult at best.
