  1. It turns out it wasnt on very tight at all! it's a right pain to line the lock washer up so it is completely flat on the nut though! Thanks again for all your help.
  2. Thanks a lot guys. Is there an easy way to hold the basket to get it off / on? I've seen that you can make a tool out of a spare clutch fibre plate, but i dont have any to spare. Thanks again.
  3. Hey everyone, I'm due to change my clutch basket over tomorrow (as the only one has pitting in it) on my 1996 JTR 250. Anyway, I was after the torque setting of the nut for the clutch basket if anyone has it? A bonus would be a manual with all the torque settings in! I do like to get the torque wrench out I did check various manuals but Gas Gas don't have on their site for this model. Thank loads in advance
  4. Thanks loads for your replies. I will make something up in the next couple of days. Thanks once again!
  5. Hey guys, Merry Christmas to you all! I currently have a JTR 250 (1996?) and i've noticed that there is an awful amount of sag in the front forks. I find I can pull the bike up quite far before the front wheel lifts off the floor. I have adjusted the two dials at the top of the fork (compression and rebound I believe? Hopefully someone can clear this up for me) but theres still a lot of sag even when i'm not on the bike. I have recently changed the oil when the seals where changed and I'm only a light rider (around 10 stone with all my kit on). I was really after some guidance what I could try / do to reduce the sag as it makes the bike feel really heavy when bouncing around. I'm not sure whether the springs can and have compressed too much? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot Jake
