    GB Rob's bikes

Just my bikes really and what I get up to past and future.
  2. 2008 GasGas EC300, 2003 Kawasaki KDX220R, 1985 Yamaha TY250 Mono. 2 stroke heaven
  3. Right, bars on order. Yokes, mmmmmm, maybe after some serious creeping to the financial director (wife). Cheers all, much appreciated. Oh, I do have a mate that's a bit of a dab hand with billet so on so forth. May have words with him at some stage to
  4. What bars do you use? Im 6 foot 6 and just got my TY all together and even got an MOT on it (not that im doing any mileage on it). Anyway Im finding it a bit low in the bar region, even after I put some Renthal enduro High bars in it. Now I have a GasGas EC300 and a Kawasaki KDX220R, obviously you can chop and change clamps etc on them but the TY are solid clamps and worse still, point back towards you. This is obviously not very handy for risers. So, any idea chaps? Cheers.
  5. Cheers gents. The swinging arm I have has a slot for for a lug, not the arm so this is why I was thinking late 70's DT as they mostly have to. I was quoted a bit less on the wheel build Dougal but yeah, near enough. As the bike only cost me a few hundred quid im looking for the cheap option (keep wife happy as I already spend enough on my other bikes ). Cheers Tony, i'll look into it. I actually had one of them bikes years ago.
  6. I dunno, something like a dt400 or dt of any sort (drum obviously). Im struggling getting a rear wheel and although ive got a Talon rear hub I cant justify the prices they want for a rim and spokes. Its getting a bit frustrating because the bikes good to go apart from the rear wheel. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
  7. That isn't the issue, the issue is why does oil come out of that screw hole?!?! Could it be an overfill drain?? Ha! Yeah, I noticed that MartyB. Yearly oil changes on the TY yet my GasGas and Kawasaki Enduros oil has to be changed every few hours. Ha! Saves money doing trials I guess
  8. Now maybe I've found how to check the level or ive found a problem. Theres no dipstick or level sight on the TY mono but I did find that if you take the bottom screw out of the front sprocket cover, it leaks oil if over full. Now I've had things like Husqvarnas etc that have a similar set up. Now is this right or has someone at some stage just wound to long a bolt into the casing? Its an easy fix either way
  9. You still hanging around public toilets Danny? Good point Dougal. Just got to confirm this hub is Talon then I can set about sorting what rims match etc. Cheers.
  10. Im after one. I do have some posh hub (apparently Talon????) but I just want the original wheel and hub to be honest. Anyone know where I can get one and if any other TY wheels fit? Cheers in advance
  11. New to the trials world, well had little goes in the past but always done Enduro and the likes more. Anyway, recently bought a 1985 TY250 Mono. I also have a GasGas EC300 and a Kawasaki KDX220R. Erm! Im in the a*** end of Lincolnshire, erm! I like beer and loud punk and Oi! Ha! What else do I say?!?!?!?! Sod it Hello
