  1. Hey, nothing like a little rebel culture to git you Red Coats awake! My favorite fireworks is the "barely legal", check it out, impress your friends.

If your interested in taking a machine gun back to the UK or Canada with you, Kimbal is the place to buy it! I'd suggest a nice MP-5 or an AK-47, either peice will git er done. Ask for Bubba!

  2. My favorite place to eat is American food at the Cracker Barrel near WallMart.

All you Brits and Yankees don't forget to stop and shop at one of the many fireworks Supermarkets nearby. Git er Done!

  3. One pal of mine builds a bike called the Boss Hog! It's an alloy Corvette V-8 powered motorcycle. He's built a military version with fake guns, a presidental version with the airforce 1 layout and a few other custom versions.

Now that's one BIG bike, with a load of torque and horse power.

  4. Thanks for the update Dan, it sounds like an outstanding weekend.

Will the sections and loop be crouded with 144 support line riders?

It will also be really good for US Experts to have a shot at the 125cc World Round riders. It will be fun to see how they compare.

My other interest will be how our Pro line riders do against Laia Sanz on the Jr World Championship line. Hopefully she has fully recovered from her head on car collision at the Scottish Six days to make it a fair contest.

  5. Sting, I agree with you and Super Hunk that its tough for top riders. Always has been, maybe always will be. Yes the payback is shocking for a Supercross event. Isn't that clearchanel, not the AMA who provides the purse?

Riding a motorcycle for a living is no differnt than any other job. It is governed by the law of supply and demand. When RC and Bubba who the croud comes to see will show up for that amount of $$$$CASH$$$$$$, that's what clear channel the owners of supercross pay.

Think of it like this, if your in a building project. The bids for material are a certain price, would you pay more? Likewise if labor is bid at a particular price, would you pay more?

Supercross is no differnt, they are charged one amount to rent the stadium, another for the track, then a purse for the riders. When all contracts are completed at that price, would you pay more?

That logic could also be taken to the US trials world round coming up! The riders get NOTHING! Who makes money off this? The promoters! Seems to me the Supercross riders have a better deal than Raga, Fugi and Dougie.

As long as the riders are willing to ride at those high standards for that price, they will be paid exactly what they are now. Remember motorcycle riding is fun to some people and the idea of getting paid to do it actually offends some people.

  6. Told my lady driver what happened and she was really saddened and concerned for Laia. Both of us were very happy about her running so well.

Debbie's first reaction was that Laia probley zigged insted of Zagged when confronted headon with the car. It's commmon for riders from right side of the road countries to zig the wrong way in a panic situation when driving in left side of the road nations.

  7. Did she miss the sections by mistake or because of the injury?

It's a real shame no matter what happened, she was going really well. I was really disappointed when she dropped off the first page.

  8. On the 5th page of the results, there is a rider named I. Kramer. Is it Iris Kramer the #2 women's riders in the world? Or is it another I. kramer?

Keep it up Laia, What a great effort so far. Tough break that 5 on Wend. and then that series of 3's right afterwards. Hope she bounces back stronger than ever.

  9. Wallmart sells an ezup knockoff called the "first up!" The unit goes up faster than the EZ-UP but is a little harder to take down but not much.

It runs about $100 bucks for the 10x10.

    Good luck

  10. This is indeed an emotional topic for many reasons! Like I said I have no trouble with legal imigrants. I don't even mind the outlaw imigrants provided the government dosn't force me to obey laws the outlaw imigrants don't have to obey. Double standards stink.

I imagine if I lived in Mexico, one of the most corupt countries in the world I'd come accross to the USA without papers as well. I'd also be VERY thankful to my new country, would learn the language and try my very hardest to blend into the culture as soon as possible.

Just last week, a family from my son's school was a hit and run victom by an outlaw imigrat driver. The dad was driving and he chased down the driver who was drunk, had no licence or insurance and had taken the car from a family member without permission. The police released the drunk driver, scott free back into society! They could do nothing because he was from Mexico.

Not all Mexican imigrants are bad people! A stuntgirl friend of ours was rearended by an imigrant. The driver was very sorry, he also took her to the nearest autobody shop and paid for the repairs.

Why todays imigrants are differnt than those 300 years ago is fairly simple. The American indians didn't provide free healthcare, free $150,000 public school education, welfare when the Europeans had a child and government supported HUD housing for that child's family. The American indians were not that dumb!

On a high note, traffic was great yesterday, the malls were a pleasure and the public schools had 25% fewer students in each class. Giving the students a much better teacher to student ratio. I also heard that the waits were much shorter at the hospitals.

  11. Citytrials,

I'll take all the legal imigrants like the LaRiche brothers we can get. I'm not anti imigrate just anti Outlaw imigrate! My view is simple, if imigrants can pick and choose which US laws they will or won't obey, I demand the right to do the same. I don't like the tax laws, so I'd like to stop paying income tax. Likewise, if some area looks good for trials, I'm there, Who cares what the law says?

Your estimate of 8 million is very conservative, some estimates say 20 million illegal imigrants are in the USA. When the government grants another amnasty to those here, they can then send for all their relatives living outside the country legally.

Using your conservative estimate of 8 million illegal immigrants, Which is low! After amnasty these 8 or more million can bring in grandpa and grandma, their wife and kids and other extended family. The estimate is that each immigrant will bring in 5 more people legally.

    Do the math!

  12. Sendero, sounds like just the tool we need!

We meet a ton of people working, it's kinda like trials you meet so many wonderful people but I've been banged on the head so many times, "hey I do stunts!". I simply can't place everyone! It was very nice of him to say some kind things. Hope he has some great success with his toys.

That's what so cool about the movie business, we work with cool toys and meet some very interesting people. Debbie just finished a job where she drove the Enzo Ferrari # 199 out of 200 in the world and the Ford GT getting to spin and slide both these cars all over the place.

Daniel was lucky enough to ride along with her on a test drive in a driving rainstorm at the former El Toro Marine base airfield. So there was a ton of room to let the Enzo rip. At about 120mph and in a driving rainstorm they hit a puddle of water and the spun the Enzo about 3 or 4 times until it stopped. Thank God there was plenty of room!

How many people get to take somebody's else's Enzo and drive it as fast as they can? Ya got to love it! Yes Hollywood has it's perks!

Hollywood with all its bad points, does have some very creative people! It's also one of the USA's biggest exports to the world and is the engine of the Southern Califorian economy. If Hollywood fails or is outsourced, chances are that the whole US economy will go into recession.

Sorry for being so long winded! It part of being passionate about machines and the industry I work in. lets see that picture!

  13. Alan, this is no laughing matter!

Today is the massive May day immigrant protest in LA and the rest of the country. I saw my first Mexican flag flying on a truck last night, not a little one but full size.

The last immigrant protest in LA had 500,000 people in the streets flying the Mexican flag. We had a riot at our local High School Friday over immigration! Why not wave US flags? I have no problem with Mexican flags but why wave them in the streets of America?

  14. Craig, I don't mind legal immigration or people working hard to improve themselves. I'm not a radical in that way!

I don't mind legal immigrants or hard working people moving from the Getto into our neighborhood, in fact I welcome them, that is unless they bring where they came from with them. If they want to turn other places into where they came from, why did they leave there and come here in the first place? I believe that's an honest question!

To turn the suburbs into a getto makes little sense! Just like leaving Mexico or any other third world country and bringing that 3rd world country with them to the USA makes no sense to me.

If a place is so bad you need to move somewhere else, why bring that bad place with you and force it on others? Simply an honest question?
