  1. Hi Had just agreed to buy a gas gas 125... Due to collect today, but owner tells me it just cut out this morning and he thinks its piston ring is gone... He's happy to discount the bike by £100 but is that enough to cover the cost of replacing a piston ring? Any advice much appreciated... I guess the bike is around 98-99. Currently offer accepted at £580 .... I wan the bike for my son, don't mind repairing it... but is £100 going to cover a ring... and what if its a piston? Thanks Dave
  2. Hi Thanks for all the advice from everyone! I have managed to get him a 125! Will post some pics once I get him on it next week! Thanks again for all the advice it was really excellent to have it. Regards Dave
  3. I have a Beta tr32 1985 that i am restoring and thats just too big and heavy for him to pick up. But I guess thst all the newer bikes are lighter and easier to handle?
  4. Thanks for a the responses. I will get him to try an 80 for size and weight before we go any further. It might be he will grow out of it in a year or two. But I'd prefer thst he didnt get overwhelmed or losemconfidence if he cant pick up or handle the 125'properly.
  5. Hi My son has just turned 14 and wants to start trials. We live newr to Nash Mills site and I have a Beta tr 33 myself. its obviously to big and heavy for him to start and ride properly, and I have been considering a Beta 80 or Beta 125. My son is about 5ft tall and lightly built. Can anyone let me know if the 80cc will suit him or if we should go for a 125? Many thanks Dave
