I practice with the bike and do races with the motorbike and it helps loads, if you ask to any high level rider they come from a bicycle background or they train with both. I'm 1.83cm and I ride an Inpulse 20" and I don't feel too big on it, there are pros around 2 meter tall riding on 20s so it all comes down to personal preference. Any size you'll get 20,24,26 will improve your riding, but if you really want to progress get a bike with modern geometries so short wheelbase and chain stay and high bottom bracket rise. Best price/quality bikes are Echo which are setup with good components and reasonable price. Cheers
Hi guys just hitting a bit of plateau and finding that I'm not enjoying it so much because I don't have that adrenaline rush which happens when I go shredding with my KTM 300 or ripping down trails with my downhill bike. What to do? Alternate between bikes? Any suggestion is appreciated! Cheers
There's no GG factory, just racing. The la St Factory Replica is the 2014, but the last model is the same as 2014 factory just with the Reiger 2 way instead of 3. I will go 100% Gas Gas?
Yeah people tend to cramp up (make them selve smaller on the bike) when doing things they find difficult. Head goes towards the bars, people cant see towards the horizon anymore. Its easier to show in real life than to explain, but I hope you get the idea.
Right, tried today to look wto the target instead looking down and it makes a ton of difference...thanks guys!
Hi guys, I'm trying to improve my balance and finding it harder with the straight steer I think it is the most proficient way to improve it. I'm able to balance with the bike off with no hands but I find hard to ride on top of a 20 cm wide straight kerb. Any tips to get there? Ta
No end of problems with some I've seen and they don't even sell them with a working clutch, like most Italian products they look great but are nailed together by Luigi whilst having a fag.
We always do s*h*i*t don't we? Like the best food, sorry it just looks good or maybe Ducati, Maserati or Ferrari...
Out of idle curiosity, anyone know if Raga runs the same carb on his bike, or if he's using his own kit?
I followed the streaming of the Barcelona Indoor and they zoomed in to the bike and it clearly had the PWK 28 with the big welded bowl, the same that he had on the Gasser and also there was a red ring below the spark plug so high compression insert as well. I bet that he uses also a Reiger rear shock, not to talk about the factory Tech forks...don't take race bikes as a measure they just share stickers with us?
Edit: I forgot the most important thing..go for TRS!
Hi guys, I'm training for the season and just having an hard time lifitng the rear wheel. I can get over a 70cm 90 degrees wall but I nearly roll up. I tap 15cm below the edge and then jump on top to deweight the rear but it doesn't want to come up enough. If I do it on a 50cm obstacle no probs but not higher. Any hints? Thanks
I also ride enduro and MTB downhill and in my opinion suspension and bike setup is critical. I want to have it feel the exact way I want, clutch, throttle, brakes, suspension and tyres have to respond the way I like otherwise I find it harder to ride. For me it's like a custom suit
That's why I thought they were just normal white tubes then! Didn't realise Domino made different ones.
I'm sure if you asked the right people maybe you could get hold of one or even make your own custom one by gluing a piece of plastic in to make the ramp on the cable part steeper.
I think I might experiment with a spare tube I have too see what happens!!
That's what I wanted to do just add some epoxy and make a ramp so as you twist it opens up the carby quicker, but unfortunately there's no room to make the tube bigger. Probably the only solution is to get an MX complete throttle and trim it down
I have used the very fast one for about 5 years, It's been swapped to various bikes as I have changed and is still standing up well.
I got one because of limited wrist movement especially when hanging off the rear of the bike ready to launch at something.
In the real world it's not much different to the white tube.
If you are having trouble doing zaps, the tube will not make a difference, You need a different style of riding, I'm sure very few of the Factory boys use them.
I know for sure(from a WC mechanic) that domino makes a quicker one but it is just for pilots
Hello I'm looking for a faster throttle tube, quicker than the white one which requires 100° of twist to fully open a 28mm carby and I found this online http://www.xblok.co.uk/www.xblok.co.uk/info.php?p=7
Yeah that's what I mean, it is really hard to flip, especially when hitting an obstacle the forward momentum will bring the front down in no time. Try doing some obstacles comfortable to you and try to not cover the rear brake, you'll be surprised that you don't need it and sometimes the foot touching it makes hard to do the technique right. That's what I felt
