Yea ! Ridded that rattle.... had it rebored by SEP with a 2 thou clearance on a yz250 wiseco piston. Sounds lovely !! All done ready for its first day out !

Thinking about it ive no idea if it had a rattle or not ! Ive just listened to a few on you tube they sound the same as mine.... like a ticking on top end. See how she goes..

Well i fired it up tonight for the first time. New bottom end top end bearings new piston standard bore. Theres a frickin top end rattle........... didnt do it before.... could it be the £40 piston...?

Yes i did buy that lighting kit for a replacement headlight as the old one was really tatty and beyond restoration. i used all the original wiring loom and switches as the one that came with the kit was a bit advanced for me ! and the switches were different to that of stock. The only mod made is the foot rests but i have big feet ! as soon as shes ready im taking her out for a blast shes gonna be a well used machine. The lighting kit comes complete with everything you need, but the ty wiring loom is soooo simple. Just got to rebuild the carb tonight as petrol is weeeeeing out of the overflow at the minute !

Hi. My ty250 d in the final stages of restoration. Engine vapour blasted full engine rebuild. Job lot. Starting to come togeather now. Just put wheels on loosely. Not far off its first start.
