  1. I hear all sorts about 80:1 and such, but it says, clearly,on my Sherco,2%(50:1), and it runs great. Why wouldn't you run the recommended mix? Don't tell me your BS about carbon, that's part of the two-stroke deal;love it or leave it!I think people are only thinking about the burn; what about the bearings? If anything, I'd want more oil to the bearings on a two stroke. In my opinion, they're barely surviving as it is!
  2. I live and ride at about 5000-6000 feet elevation, and was wondering what other folks were using for the pilot and main jets, and clip position on the needle.I've checked the RYP site and gotten a few answers(for 4000 ft),but I want to hear from people who ride at elevation all the time. Thanks for your input ahead of time.If you could include your elevation as well, that'd be super swell.
  3. Looks perfect for hotel rooms and the like.
  4. There were several bikes for sale locally, but by the time I got my funds together, they were all sold!Spring is well under way here(New Mexico)so that's it.It did work out for the better, though-I found a comparible bike, about 1800 miles away, but it turns out the guy will be passing right thru town on his way to the nationals in AZ.Free shipping!
  5. Nevermind.Despite the fact that we were negociating,he went ahead and sold it.
  6. So I've found the (used)bike I'm looking for;great price, great condition, etc. The only concern is that the bike is 2000 miles away, and I'll be buying it sight unseen (except for photos) from a person I've never met, other than phone conversation.I would consider myself to be a good judge of character, and he sounds like an honest dude, but what do you folks think?Does anyone have any advice or experience in this sort of situation? He offered references, and said I could stop payment on my check if need be,but I don't know. And how is it he trusts me?Thanks in advance for your input.
