Ive never actually owned a two stroke, all the bikes i grew up riding were the honda xr's and the crf's, we even did all our trail riding with the crf's with some serious clutch work! the only 2 stroke I've ever riding was an old cr 500 and my arms were numb after i got off from the vibration! Id love to try a 2 stroker trials bike in our mountains and see how it performs.

Ha yea my house sits at 6600, then when we go on mountain rides specifically in the wyoming range some of the dirt bike trails go to 10,000 feet! thats just the trail riding though, I'm more interested in the trials at my home elevation. Wish the TRS was injected but that would probably add another 2k to the price!

Well thats still pretty cheap for the whole assembly I'm gonna look into those

What do you mean? if its jetted right for the elevation im riding wont it run full power? i ride at 6500-8500 feet so im sure ill have to re jet for our elevation.

For you bike gurus that have ridden or owned both the 2 stroke and 4 stroke bikes which do you prefer and why? Currently Riding a Cota 300rr but looking to trade it in and try a 2 stroke TRS 300 Raga for this year. Biggest drawback is going from injection back to a carb but shouldn't be too big of an issue it i get it jetted right. Whats the power comparison on the 2 stroke vs 4? I know with snowmobiles you need almost twice the horsepower in a 4 stroke to get the same performance as a 2 stroke. Plus the weight savings is nice on the TRS. Thoughts?

Nice! I've rode mine for a couple hours so far and I'm still on the original half gallon. Most of it has been slow riding though just trying to get the hang of it. I'm hoping with the tank in the seat I can do all day trail rides.

Can anybody tell me the approximate run time for a half gallon tank? I am getting the seat with the extra 2 liters in it and just trying to figure out how far that'll take me on my trail rides approximately

One other thing ive been trying to research and havent found much info is how do i set up my suspension for my size? It looks like it plays a big part in being able to hop my bike around those tech t's look sweet too, looks like they have a leather looking boot option. pricey though $$$

thanks for all the info fellas! can you guys recommend a good riding boot? Ive never actually bought any riding boots but i think I'm gonna try some out. The hunting boots have worked but i want some new boots. also does anybody ride with hand guards or whats the best way to keep from breaking levers? i already smacked mine pretty good luckily it didn't break!

Thank you, I'm not sure if there is any local guys that ride very much around here. I looked at a couple bikes, I checked out the beta 300 as well but I felt like the Honda was a little higher quality. I'm sure they are all good bikes but this is my first one so I don't know much

Im picking it up this weekend just bought it this weekend but ive gotta travel a ways to pick it up they didnt have any locally. Its gonna be a whole different animal than the yzf 450 ive been riding i imagine

Hello I'm new to the forum, just got my first trials bike a montesa 300rr and I'm looking for a seat and a larger gas tank for some trail rides. Anyone know where I can get such a thing in the U.S.? Thanks for any help or suggestions
