If you do indeed have both, then why not try them both, then report your findings back here?

Will do I was just looking for some views. Maybe not the best person to comment though because I've never really noticed any difference in the maps on my enduro bikes. Lol.

I’ve ridden a 200 with a JP pipe, the power felt fantastic to me, I don’t think you’ll be taking any extra dabs due to the power. 200 belongs to my good pal and he would not leave it on his bike if it was a detriment of any kind.

I’d give it a go as is.

Good to hear thanks for the info

  3. Hi all, just got a 200 rear kick with a JP stainless exhaust. I've noticed a few people are a bit critical of what they do to the low down power but not sure if they have a vested interest.  Anyway I still have the stock pipe so no worries either way. What I'd like to ask is, if you have one what are your thoughts?  Also I can mod mine if needs be so if you have felt the need to add baffles could you please send me some info of what you did and any gains. Cheers.

  4. Bit of an update. Did a trial yesterday with no noticeable smoke. It had shorter rides between sections so less load/heat from the engine. So all looks good. Will repack the exhaust this week then see how we go.

  5. Thanks to all for the replies. Perhaps I got a little ahead of myself because of the smoke and the fact it smelled different. I will keep an eye on the gearbox oil level and see how it goes.

    Cheers. Gra.

  6. Thanks for the reply.  Looks like a full strip and refurb then.  Should be able to live with it until I have a window between trials.  Any advice on what else I should change when I'm in there?  Also I assume when removing the mains from the case you warm the cases with a heat gun and then press them out?

    Thanks.

  7. Hi I am looking for a bit technical advice.  I have been finding when riding between sections and putting the engine under load that it is smoking a fair bit and stinks of burning oil rather than 2t.  I am assuming that my oil side crank seal has failed.  Does anybody know if I can replace the seal without a full strip down?  i.e pull the sealout with a self tapper screw or something?  Gasgas uk say I cant but i'm sure I have seen it done on one of the models.  If I can replace it without a full strip down would most people just replace the failed seal or do the flywheel side as well.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Gra.

  8. Hi All, just got my first trials bike 280 gg after a good few years of riding mx, h&h and most recently green laning. Looking forward to getting out and about for a bit of practice. I live near preston and am looking for practice areas. I know about cowm and will give it a look but have also heard about feniscoles and clivager. I was wonder could anybody tell me if the later two are still open and if so what days. Cheers in advance.
