TL250 Petcock
Good morning, everyone, The original petcock on my TL 250 was gummed up and blocked. So I ordered two aftermarket petcocks on eBay. One was a useless thing, The other was exactly like the OEM petcock (indeed, it was advertised as such), but there was a critical difference. The flange on the mounting side of the OEM petcock is 2cm. The flange on the new one is only 1CM, and therefore will not clear the standing seam on the bottom outer edge of the tank. Has anyone else had to deal with this problem? Any suggestions on where I might get a good petcock would be gratefully received. SD

TL 250 shock absorber flange dimension
Merci beaucoup. I ordered s/s bolts from Speed & Sport in California, and they worked perfectly, with nice countersunk washers. Sean

TL250 in the Catskills
Thank you, Biff, Working on the Honda. It had no sparks, so have replacement capacitor on the way to replace the old one, which was dead. Everything cleaned up nicely. Various other bits and pieces on the way as well, including grips, etc. Sean

Thank you Jim, I am very interested in knowing more. I also have a Montesa Cota HRC from 2000 that I have barely ridden. It has about 10km on it! I should get it out and dust it off. Too many projects! Sean

TL 250 shock absorber flange dimension
Morning everyone, I have ordered a set of NJB shocks for my TL250, and I have a question (put to me by NJB). What is the dimension of the mounting bolts (I believe 6mm), but also, what is the width of the flange where the bottom of the shock absorber slips into the swingarm? I can't find the answers in any of my manuals. Any assistance would be welcome. Sean Dell NYC

TL250 in the Catskills
Hello everyone, I'm an old (very) ex trials rider, originally from Dublin, now living in New York. I'm excited to have purchased a TL250, and can't wait to ride it. I'm also on the hunt for a TL 125 for my daughter. Looking forward to sharing experiences and asking questions. Sean Dell
