  1. XR200 brake shoes are the same as TLR250, maybe the whole hub, lots of these available used.

    Tlr Front Springs

I am trying to change the fork seals on my TLR250F First getting the allen bolts out is a challenge, I think they have been a bit mistreated in the past, any tips? Also the parts decsribed as 4 - (collar )and 5 - (plate) in the parts book are missing, I think the bike has been mucked around with a bit so I don't know what has been changed it has non standard footpegs, it has a progressive front spring and the spring is 530mm long. is this standard/better/worse? Cheers Hans NZ

    Tlr250f Wheel Hubs

I'm pretty sure there ia a guy here with XR front wheel on his TLR200, slightly different to reflex but its probably just a matter of adjusting the spacer

    Tlr250f Wheel Hubs

Thanks for that, I was hoping they might come on something like an XR or XL which are very common here in New Zealand, I have found that the brake shoes on the TLR250 are the same as the XR200, probably the most common dirt bike in NZ. They are MUCH bigger than the shoes on the TLR200 which probably explains some of my more interesting trail experiences on it.

    Tlr All Silver

This is by way of a before pic, the previous owner of this 250f painted and polished everything in silver, not exactly the setup I had in mind with a nice new 6 ply rear knobbly, will update when I get it looking more like a trials bike. Hans

    Tlr250f Wheel Hubs

Hi, I recently bought a TLR250F, I was going to refurbish my TLR200 D or E which I have used as a playbike for 15 years, however upon seeing slim tank units and wanting one, then seeing the prices and the cost of importing it to New Zealand when a 250 came along that was a much cheaper option, the bike has been fully restored in the sense that it was completely taken apart, everything painted silver, all the alloy polished, new nuts and bolts etc but not much money spent on it, I was going to transfer bits from my 200 but have discovered that there are really not that many similar parts, anyway I would like to learn a bit more about the 250 so first question is are the wheel hubs/wheels shared with other Hondas and if so which? Regards Hans
  9. I had a TL125 in the seventies,it had no provision for lights, to enter it in enduros it needed lights, I just wound some copper wire around the flywheel, magneto, or whatever the going round bit was, it was pretty obvious how to do it once you took the cover off and no other parts were needed. it produced power but since I didn't fit any other bits I had to run 24v bulbs and keep the revs down while the lights were scrutineered, of course a regulator wound solve that. Cheers Hans
