  1. that awesome mate!i've had plenty of people recomend sid's wheels, I managed to sell my Gas Gas yesterday but i will look out for a front end to fit to the TY, thanks for the info
  2. hi all at some stage i will need to replace both wheels and was wondering if there was a known set of wheels that fit eg dt stuff. was thinking that if the other wheels had a different spoke configuration it might be easier to get different rims? cheers
  3. hi I currently have a gas gas txt pro (2002) that i have up for sale. if it dosn't sell I was toying with the idea of fitting the front end and rear wheel from the gas gas onto the TY i've only had a brief look but the rear hub on the gas gas seems to be wider, by about 15mm, i was thinking i could get the hub and the disc stay arm machined down to fit. The front end would probably fit if i pressed out the steering stems and replaced the TY one in the gas gas forks? also i would need to mount the rear brake res somewhere has anyone else done anything similar? at the moment nothing is set in stone but i was just mulling over the possibilites many thanks andy
  4. thanks for that info m8, dropped the carb off today for an ultrasonic clean and replace the pilot jet (if it comes out!!) hopefilly that should sort the starting issue out
  5. thanks for the reply, whats the 2004 airbox spec? hoping an ultrasonic clean will fix the issue
  6. hi all just bought a 2002 gas gas txt pro so that i could do courses set out for modern bikes and not destroy my old TY mono! I really like the bike but it has several issues! last sunday at rileys railway it blew the thermostat out at the bottom of a 30ft bank, its a pig to get into neutral and a proper git to start!! I think the starting issue might be down to having old fuel and it looks like the pilot jet has sheared off.hopefully a dip in the ultrasound tank and a new pilot might solve this problem. i have tested the fan with a battery and it runs ok, bit concerned that the pressure relief valve in the rad filler cap didn't blow before the thermostat, anyone else had this issue? thanks in advance andy
