  1. This thread is quite helpful. Mine came out split in two pieces when I recently serviced my 2006 forks and even RYP in the US didn't have a solution and while I believe it is clearly in the spares manual, it is hard to visualize what it's purpose is and how I'll fabricate something to replace it. Maybe I'll chase that Tech lead down, but this thread is pretty old!
  2. This may be helpful for me as I'm just finishing up rebuilding my 2006 Paioli forks (and the rest of the bike, for that matter). I've sourced almost everything from SplatShop and they've been excellent to deal with. Re: the forks. I swear I pulled the dampening cartridge from the side with the plastic compression valve and spring collar in the stanchion. I've now tried to reassemble both left and right stanchions with the cartidge or the spring assembly and neither will drop through or "pass" that collar in order to insert and thread the Allen bolt that holds them to the bottom of the fork leg. I'm obviously doing something quite simple incorrectly, but I can't figure out what it is. Doesn't seem logical that either of those assemblies would have slipped out smoothly while removing them, but be so hard to reinstall. The 2006 spares manual shows that BOTH stanchions have the collar components in them, which doesn't help.
