  1. found on ebay: 1. "Suitable for used with all Bultaco single cylinder 2 stroke engines. Thread; 34mm x 1.5mm" which I think won't fit, as mine (M33x1,5) seems a wee bit to big already 2. "33MM x 1.5MM FLYWHEEL PULLER FOR BULTACO ..." the one I bought... won't fit... 3. "Compatible for Husqvarna Femsa Motoplat Flywheel Puller [26mm x 1.5mm]" I think, this one would fall right through as I meassure 31mm (wich points to an M33...) and again... lost in time and lost in space💣
  2. Hello guys, I bought a flywheel puller M33x1.5 for Bultaco, but it doesn't fit (almost fits, but not quite)... where did I go wrong???
  3. so, for the condenser it won't make any difference... VW ?Volkswagen? but needs to be 6V, right? (It is quite some time ago when I last had a deep dive into restoring... most questions even seem dumm to me:-))
  4. could I use any bultaco points and condensors or just a certain kind ... eg... all Alpina or all Sherpa, or all 5 speed, all 125cc ... Any ideas welcome...
  5. so here are the "before" pics and it already looks great even without cleaning... we will see how far it will go with some cleaning and taking care of the alloy parts.
  6. well, those pics will follow - have to pull off the flywheel and put things together again - give me about two days 🙂
  7. Checked it as a Lobito 125 MK3 1970-1972 starting at 62.000.001 so 1443 should be still 1970 as it is a rather low one... well not so many built, but beeing 1970 myself, I like the thought of it...
  8. well, to give you guys a first pic (to make sure it even is a Lobito) As far as I was diving into it, it should be around '68 to '70, any hints welcome!!!
  9. so I learned a bit about the Lobito... but does anybody can tell a bit more about the Lobito... seems your are not so often come across one of those... the others seem to be much more common. And anybody having any ideas about the "one spark only symptomatic"???
  10. I have seen the book... but it covers Alpina/Frontera/Pursang/Sherpa T... does it cover my Lobito too?
  11. but having a clean tank and the banjo filter I could take it off, couldn't I?
  12. The AMAL Carb looks just fine... one thing though... is it normal to have a brass mesh around the main jet, on float bowl side as second filter after the banjo filter... never seen it, not even on amal carb exploded views
  13. thanks first of all...one spark, and that 's it... no matter how many rotations will follow, there was only one spark... that is why I'd like to take off the flywheel to have a closer look and clean well, see the connections ... The bike is in good shape though... pictures will follow
  14. I'm new with my Bultaco Lobito (bought as a Sherpa but that's another story!) So far I haven't been able to find much information on the bike... and if I could it would be in Spanish, which isn't very helpful. What bike is the Lobito anyway? I read that it was intended for youngsters who are too big for small bikes, but even that basic information was hard to find...it doesn't really look or feel "small"...any clues are helpful. Now the story... after cleaning my lovely AMAL I thought I should check the spark, that was easy as there was none. After taking the side cover off and sanding the points for some time (not that easy to come by) I gave it a try and had a spark and really loved it. But it was just one spark, certainly not enough to win a race...I would like to remove the flywheel to get better access to the points but not sure if that is safe. I would like to know first of all, do I even have to think about it because it fits only one way back on (the correct way)??? Is there anything you would check first? Typical Bultaco or Lobito topics to be checked. It just seems strange to have only one spark... So thanks guys for all the replies... Joachim my trials bikes by the way are GASGAS 2010, Montesa 349 (think 1982), Bultaco Sherpa T 1978, Bultaco Lobito MK3 1970, BSA C15 1957, Beta Minitrial for the Kids and Project Bike BSA Victor Special
  15. Hi there, my name is Joachim, 52 Y and from Germany. Trials was a dream when I was a kid, now it is still a dream as I am a beginner in any way. Sometimes I just can't resist buying a bike, thinking it will run eventually. Newest one is a bultaco about 1970, first bike my age 😉 After spending some time on it I realise I am pretty clueless as there is not so much information easy to find as it is a Lobito 175 MK3 (think so!) Cleand the AMAL, polished some of the alloy, looks great, just like new, but no spark! I don't even now if I can easyly take of the flywheel and put it back on again without messing the whole timming up by moving it a bit... I think there should be some kind of nosre or nipple to make sure it will keep the timing... but I simply don't know... Well, probably someone knows a bit more than I know... would be great to get some hints...
