  1. Hi I reverse bled the clutch however it still surges a bit when I select a gear although I find it weird that with the engine running in gear and the clutch pulled fully I can push the bike forward and back but if I stop the engine it won’t freewheel
  2. Hi thank you I will have a look again tomorrow, when I pull the lever I would estimate the salve cylinder is moving 3-4mm
  3. So tonight I bled the clutch to no avail I am now thinking I will put a new clutch in it I will order the clutch tool, total pain in the a*** especially as the bike has very low hours that’s why I bought it as it looked like it had just come out of the showroom.
  4. Hi, thanks for all the responses, Tonight I have refilled with elf gearbox oil and adjusted the lever however when I select a gear from neutral the bike jerks forward also I can’t push it while in gear with the clutch pulled. Next step for me is a clutch bleed if that doesn’t solve it I might look at a new Mitani clutch.
  5. Hi, so I am an absolute beginner but I don’t think it’s me, I struggle to find Neutral to the point that I sometimes use my hand I also feel like I have clutch drag and wonder if I should replace the clutch with a Mitani ? I have changed the gearbox oil with the correct Elf oil and silkoline for engine both were Dark
  6. Hi thanks for the responses, I fully expect to scratch , scrape and damage the bike due to to the nature of the sport even more so having never ridden a motorcycle, I now have 3 hours under my belt 😂 I am just really looking to give the bike some more protection such as a better sump guard that covers additional area than the original and as mentioned some casing covers. i am also bit of kid at heart and love fancy anodised parts. thanks 👍
  7. Hi, I am new to trials I have a very lightly used 4rt I would like to keep it as good as possible 😂 I currently have the standard sump guard with a wrap around water pump guard I am looking at guards from CSP, S3 and MITANI (full protection kit) I also thinking I will buy a linkage guard any advise appreciated. thanks
  8. Thank you for replies I will get practicing 👍
  9. I think I really need to work on my hand positioning so I can cover all controls I think I may ride my project motocross bike as I think standing makes it more difficult
  10. Hi, So today I had my 1st ride of any bike with gears it was a bit of an eye opener I got on ok I suppose I just wanted to do the basics start and stop, however I had a bit of an issue letting go of the throttle when my weight shifted back and ending up with the bike in a ditch and me thrown over the bars 😂
  11. Hi, thank you all for your advice I appreciate it I have however ordered a lightly used 2022 Montesa 4rt. I should get it next week i expect the bike to be a bit of a challenge although as I have no experience in 2 or 4 stroke we will see how I go I just need to sort out boots and clothing now
  12. Yeah I visited Tom Adamson and was like a kid in a toy shop I have also looked at some 2023 beta factory 250/300 quite like them too
  13. Hi sorry I was probably a bit vague in my my original post however thank you for the replies, I am in Aberdeenshire Scotland aged 41 years weight is about 90kg, I have no previous experience on a motorcycle although I did casually do Mtb trials up until I was 17 (passed my driving test) from what I see of the local club the ride mainly in rocky woodland . I am of full understanding that any Trials bike I buy will be way more capable than me. thanks
  14. Hi all I am looking to buy my 1st Bike as trials is something I have always wanted to do, I am looking at a Montesa 4rt as I like the fact it is 4 stroke and fuel injected I have also considered a 2 stroke Beta however I keep ending up back at the Montesa any help and advice appreciated?
