  1. Okay, well I had just wired in a switch to manually run the fan for the last few weeks. I ordered a new thermo switch from beta and checked it with a continuity tester before installing. It worked great. Second install was quick and everything is working now. It was just a bad part from beta. FYI for others. Thanks all!
  2. Went out and rode the bike around again until hot, put the multimeter on the thermo switch and get nothing, just like the old one. Faulty switch again? Again, the fan works the moment I close the circuit by bridging the terminals.
  3. Hi All, Help please. I've read through the other forums on this topic but I'm still stuck. I've got a 2022 Beta Evo 2t with, I'm told, about 6 hours on it. I just purchased the bike last week. I noticed the few short rides around the driveway that the cooling fan did not turn on. The other day after about 30ish minutes of riding around the driveway the bike started to spit coolant as it was over heating. I wired a bypass around the thermal switch (unplugged and connected the two wires) and the fan turns on fine. I then assumed it was the thermal switch so ordered a new OEM Beta Evo thermal switch. I installed the new switch last night (very straight forward), refilled the coolant per instructions in Beta Evo manual and went for another ride. Again after about 30 minutes the bike started to spit coolant out the overflow and the cooling fan still fails to come on. I then rechecked and with the bypass the cooling fan will turn on. Besides the thermal switch and general electrical connectivity, what else could be going on? Is it possible to have received a new faulty thermal switch? I do have an electrical tester (basic) but would need some instruction on what else to test for. Any ideas? Here is the electrical diagram per the 2022 Beta Evo owners manual: Can't get image to upload, will try again.
  4. Hi all, I've wanted to get a trials bike for a few years and well, a great deal came around. I purchased a 2022 Beta Evo 300 2T with only 6 hours on it. I purchased it from a supercross kid who didn't like it, because he "likes going fast" and because he wrecked recently in a race and had to have shoulder surgery. As a novice I was looking for a 200cc or 250cc but used trials bikes are hard to come by around here and this was a stellar deal for a "new" bike. I'm looking forward to learning the basics and appreciate the expertise on this forum!
