  1. @FHG speak with Glen at Rockshox, he will give you all the advice you could ever need about shocks gary@rockshocks.co.uk
  2. For tyres, on my Beamish I have Pirelli MT43s, good enough for me.
  3. Lovely original machine @FHG Tyres are fit for the skip but lots of choice to be had. ive just put rockshox rear shocks on my beamish and they are fab, depends if you want original or an upgrade that works. Kev
  4. It’s all down to technique and practice so keep at it, getting off and using right foot is ok but a bit of a faff esp when out riding, my factory 300 evo likes to demonstrate its compression for sure whilst my rev3 is a lot more user friendly.
  5. What a belting find! not a clue on the info you are chasing but it will make a really good project! Kev
  6. We have a 300 Beta Evo and it’s too much bike for my talent! On the other hand, I have an older Beta Rev3 250, lovely bike to ride.
  7. What about a high security cable instead of chain? what you are aiming to do is slow down the scum, if they have enough time and the right tools your bike is gone. a loud alarm and baseball bat will also help.
  8. Speak with Central Wheels https://central-wheel.co.uk/ Great Bikes and such a good learning machine for young ones. Kev
  9. Hi im recommissioning a1980 Beamish. The techomoto throttle has quite some wear and I would like to replace. Are the new Domino throttles a decent replacement? thanks Kev
  10. Not used SS rims on a trials bike just older Road Bikes that I have restored.
  11. I’m rebuilding a Beamish Suzuki and going Alloy rims with SS spokes, I’m going to trial it, I’ve done older stuff for show and have used Stainless Rims which are nice and shiny and don’t tend to rust like the chrome option.
  12. We have both a 2022 300 Factory and a 2002 250 Rev 3. Both great fun, easy to work on and reliable. The l/h kick is something to get used to but you soon get the knack. parts for both are easy to source. go for it
  13. Hi anyone here using a Beta Rev 3 on a regular basis? They seem to be really good value currently.. what is the spares availability like? thanks in advance Kevin
  14. Brand loyalty is a huge factor I’d say, I ride Trails on my KTM but could easily do the same on a Yamaha etc, KTM seemed to be readily available with good spares backup (and they do break!) I don’t ride trials but am on the hunt for a bike to play on and improve my trail riding, the Betas seem to be the most available but perhaps that’s because people buy them and then realise they need something else? good thread.
