    ty 250 wheel

I used a gasgas tubeless rear wheel for my ty175 but was using the original hub which is 36 spokes (see fun in the garage yam forum)Malc Simmons from Southern wheels is building Honda tlr hubs with excel tubeless rims, these rims have the flange in the middle like the montesa 4rt rear wheel, I assume you are using the mono rear hub with "Z" spokes
  3. Welcome aboard, twinshock trials are great fun to compete in so many to do around the country hope you have great fun restoring your bike and have just as much fun in riding it
  4. Hi Mate, welcome aboard the trials central forums, hope your Fantic is taking shape and your riding is feet up in 2012, what part of the world are you from
  5. looks like a standard ty175 frame with modifications, rear shock top mounts moved, lower frame rails removed (hard to tell from pictures)the tank and seat unit is a Sammy Miller one

Evil Knievel seat cover !!!! I have been called a stunt rider before, well at least I thought that's what he called me but my hearings not great these day's and my eyesight is pretty poor to but then you can guess that by my choice of colours, no work has been done on the engine and the rear rim is a tubeless from a gasgas, the seat is original just recovered looked much smaller when it was black I will probably make a smaller one, I never rode the bike before I done the work so will have to see how it performs, had one years ago and was pleased how that went so this should be ok to, I only ride the twinshock routes down south eastern centre and the Sunn Inn 3 day trial was thinking about riding the Miller rounds next year so maybe the big seat will be comfy on the road

    Kawasaki 4stroke

no idea of the weight feels similar to my old Yamaha ty250 twinshock as for the gearing it has a 10 tooth front and a 48 tooth rear running a 520 chain, being a Montesa rear wheel it seems its either a 44 tooth or 48 tooth or have 1 made special, I found the the gearing very low which is how I like it, 1st gear would be good for very tight full lock sections in dry conditions, 2nd was good all day in the very wet/slippery conditions perferct for the nadge and then give it some throttle for a short or long climb, the engine pulls 3rd from standstill for open sections and also good for very long climbs, I have extended the clutch arm by 10mm giving a very light feel, the bike is happy running on tickover clutch out in 1st or 2nd gear, its been about 3 years since I last rode a 4 stroke (honda tlr200) having changed to a Yamaha ty250 and now riding a Fantic 200 so it will only take a short time for me to re-adjust to the 4 stroke riding style, on the whole I am very pleased the way the bike looks and rides the power is nice brakes\suspension\handling is excellent and the exhuast note is perferct very similar to a Montesa 4rt
