Hi Tom, before you jump on a new carb I rebuilt my sons TL125 with a kit from a fellow in kitchner for less than $25.00. The bike runs like a TL should. I will find you the name and number also I have a photocopy of a few pages from a service book that may help with your forks. I am located in St.Catharines. We are presently working on a reflex conversion check out the photos here under canadian reflex. Larry

Thanks for the comments guys, Dave would you have any ideas on finding aftermarket fenders, I have had zero luck with acerbris, no longer made any help would be great. How about late model fronts from a Montesa not sure on rears or cost. Regards Larry

Guys looking for help on wiring my 87 Reflex(cdn model) can I make it run with out the A/C regulator?, if no any suggestions on where to mount it. Also any suggestions on carb set up, I am in the process of creating an exhaust system to allow the motor to breath a little and would love to hear from those of you who have played with exhaust changes... I have been following this site for a while now and love the TRLs and Reflex, my son rides a 74 TL125, I ride a TYZ250 but love the twinshock Hondas. I will post pictures of what we have done so far, would to love to hear any and all advice of how to make it a better riding bike. Regards Larry

I also downloaded the Scorpa manual, shows everything you need for the motor. Would anyone have any info on how to replace the fork seals, as well on how to set up the suspenision front and rear on 1993 TYZ. The past owner was a very good rider and has it set for his style I need to lighten things up a fair bit.......

Guys thanks for all the great info, Gas Gas thanks for the Scorpa tip I was able to print a copy from the Scorpa site and it is in fact the same motor bolt for bolt. The clutch was glued tight, with a little work it cleaned up perfect and fell well with in spec based on the Scorpa manual. With everything back in place I can roll the bike in gear with the engine off, ran out of time today still need to put oil in and give it a real test...... Anyone know if the decals can be had anywhere.... Thanks again for your help on this, I know I will be back for more help.... Regards Larry

The Clutch is stuck all the time, I should have stated that the bike has sat for a few years, I drove it around for a good 10 mins and it still would not release. It feels fine at the clutch lever no stranges sounds. I agree that they will drag, my74 and 85 both do the same until warm... I do not know much about the TYZ but I am sure it can't be all that bad to free up.... Anyone know what parts such as clutch, brakes and cables may be interchangable with other Yamaha models, parts are a little hard to come by here in Canada... Regards Larry...

Hi All, I just picked up a 93 TYZ, from what I have read here it's a solid bike. I do however need your help with a few things, a manual, a copy anything please...... The clutch is sticking, I looked at past posts and will try these ideas, my question is how to remove the clutch cover, anything to watch for such as the waterpump drive. Don't want things falling out when I have no manual...... Thanks for your time folks...... Regards Larry(Canada)
