I happened to be standing next to the upside down cars at the Tough One when Brown overtook David Knight by jumping off the side of the second car and landing in front of him, then clearing off at a speed i didn't know trials bikes were capabale of!! I didn't go there expecting to see anythig like it. Amazing!!

Hello In a moment of nostalgia induced weakness i recently bought an old Montesa 348 for rebuilding. It came with a red frame and a hidious lime green/yellowish tank cover/seat unit. I assumed it would need respraying in the red that i've seen every other 348, but after scraping away some of the original paint can't find a trace of red. Does anyone know if Montesa had a bit of a 'seventies moment' ever painted 348's in anything like this? Cheers

Cheers for all the help and advice, but have gone down the route of ordering an eletronic ignition kit and eliminating any condenser,coil, points bit of naff wire etc,etc problems in the future at the same time. I'm also told that if you look at the kicstart hard enough it will fire up when fitted - but we'll see!!

Just did the same thing (bought a TY that needs help!) Try www.tytrials.co.uk where i got all the help, advice and then necessary bits i could have wished for. In fact a better service than when i try and get help with morden bike bits!! Cheers

Hello Just got a lateish TY175 for a bit of 'lost youth' type fun but has the following problem. It starts runs and rides great for about 20mins then cuts out and won't start again until cold and does the whole routine again!! Should i lash out on an eletronic ignition conversion and solve this and possibly future problems, or is itlikley to be mush simpler - eg new condenser or coil??? Thanks
