  1. By the way the pic posted earlier (IMG:http://www.usmontesa.com/assets/images/db_images/db_L_Sanz1.jpg) . I see what you were talking about - Look better on women! Also, Been offered a 2002 Scorpa 250, supposed to be 'as new'. If this is ture, are they ok? Where are some local(ish) places for me to practice? (Nottinghamshire) Back yard is getting boring!
  2. andat, thanks for the advice, but re the pants and shirt, i already went internet shopping and got a Lycra pant and a loose mx top that matches. But thank you anyway. Will take on board advice for the waterproof though. . . . and yes I had forgot about that. Thanks!
  3. Yeh, I do see your point! If i don't stop eating the chocolate from christmas i won't FIT into ANY Lycra gear, let alone a 1 piece! . Yes thats right i'm STILL eating it........I got allot! Anywho, are Trials gloves any different to MX ones? Do they provide more feel or are they more or less the same?
  4. I know, Iknow, you're probably sick of hearing from me from my Trials clothes post, but thanks alot, you were all a great help, and have steered me away from a 1 piece suit!! . Now, sorry but i have anothr question. As i mentioned in my other. . er. . topic (?) So far i have only been 'pratting around' on my land, just playing really. What 'proper' practice land is available (midlands area)? Are there practice tracks, as such, like in Motocross? And if so, which are good for a total novice? I don't want to turn up and look a fool and hold up people who know what they are doing.
  5. Ok, thanks too all again. I went shopping on-line today at work (don't tell the boss). I have come to a compramise. I still went 'lycra' but two piece as most (all actually) of you guys recomended. Just now hope it feels better than my MX gear did (not that streatchy when I needed it ). And hope it fits. I ordered Medium on the basis, although i'm 6 foot, i'm only 30'' waist.(?) The boots they offered me were Diadora. Any good?
  6. Ok people, thanks for all your help. Seems i'll leave the one piece idea alone till i know what i'm doing on a bike :-P. I'll go shopping this weekend for two piece and boots! I know i've already asked but, what makes of gear do you rate? And where is the best place to buy from? Ideally not the internet as i'd like to try on first.
  7. Sounds like my mates are the only ones who wear one piece!? Whats the advantage supposed to be? Although i'll never be anything like half their skill level, all the pro's must wear them for a reason? What make of gear do you recomend anyway? 1&2 piece?
  8. Thanks so far. Just like to add that (carefull not to sound full of my self!!) I'm quite aethletic(11stone) and only 25 so there will be no beer belly!! YET anyway! I take on board the 'look gay' comments, but with the right ones i think look kinda cool! Might just be me!! (not gay, honest) Keep it comin guys and girls. need all the help i can get. Also.. arent trials bottoms just as tight and 'gay' as the bottom half of the suit? I dont want baggy. Also.. What boots would you recomend?
  9. Hello all. Fairly new to this Trials business. I mainly race Enduro or Motocross, but i have a few mates who take their Trials pretty seriously. After much trying, they talked me in to buying a trials bike. Their reasons being that they claim it would help improve my balence for Enduro and general bike skills. Turns out not only were they right but i now enjoy trials more than i ever thought i would. Starting Trials was the best thin i ever did! Anywho. My question is this: So far i have been using either my motocross gear or (laugh if you like!!) combats and an Enduro jacket! Not only does it not feel comfortable but my mates, who only do trials, take the michael! So i'm going to buy some 'proper' trials gear. They all wear 1 peice body suits and claim they are by far the best thing. What do you guys think?? Which are the best to go for?
