  1. Old-ish one with the rotax engine. I think 1998 ish.

    It kicks up alright, but as it starts to warm up it will not tickover, or if you increase the slide-stop to the point where it will tick over, when you rev it it revs its nuts off and does not drop back to idle quickly at all.

    Seems lean, the idle mixture screw does not make much difference that I can figure.

    **disclaimer** This was meant as a light hearted joke and no offense was intended, I have ridden the Evo and while it is not to my taste it remains an absolutly cracking bike.............Still leaks fuel though.........

  3. Slow action throttle should help, check the timing marks on both bikes and see if they are in the same place, is the gearing the same on both 270's? . I had a go on the Surgeons 08 when he got it and it was well frisky

    he no longer has the bike, he part ex it for a 4 stroke scorpa? so i cant compare timing, he had his brand new, so his sprockets will be standard, and mine had only been used a few times when i got it, so i expect the sprockets will be the same, although i will check mine to see if they are standard.

  4. i have a 2008 270 rev3 and its a bit of a handful, it just seems to take off or wheel spin?

    i treid my freinds and his was much easier to ride and control.

    i could ride his slow on the banks, but mine seems alot more powerful and harder to control

    the only differance i can think of was his was well used and mines not, will mine calm its self down?

    i have checked and the flywheel weight is still on.............. so im thinking of trying a slow action throttle

  5. Hi, I have just got a Beta 250 got told it was a 03 but i am not sure i have been on the internet to try and find out but had no luck. Can any one help me out with this. Thanks and happy new year.

    and im not sure, but will the 2003 mudgaurd fit on an alder bike due to the airbox?

    and i also heard the wheels are stamped with the year?

  6. i have a rev3 and the plan was to do it all black, i changed the front mudgaurd, tank cover and headlight, so i wanted to get a black back mudgaurd and the black sxs stickers,as im not fussy on white, but its grown on me and i cant realy justify spending

  7. On the Beta easiest way I have found is to just buy the stock factory packing it's preformed and takes only seconds to swap out, it may cost a little more but it makes up for it in time & hassel free installation.

  9. Hi all, i had my stator plate sorted last year with Motoplat, i dont know but is it possible it has gone again? can someone give me directions on what to test as it is a none runner, plaease help....

  10. hi all, i've been looking at a beta zero for a friend he likes the look of it its up for 400 is this price ok it is sound and in good condtion. also are they good bike it seems quite heavy. . . .

    seems a fair price......... although if you could get a few hunderd quid more, you could get a beta techno
