  2. Hi All, Can anyone tell me where i can find a supplier, online or tele sales, for a Mineral 5w-30 Oil for my '06 Pro?? I have looked everywhere without sucsess, so am running ATF at the moment but it feels like the clutch is quite abrupt so would like to try what should be in it! Any help is much appriciated. Steve
  3. Hi, Is this what your after?? http://www.trialspartsusa.com/manuals/manu...tpro2004eng.pdf
  4. Hi all, I'm looking for some new kit and want some dedicated trials gear. Have always used my old MX gear before but want something better fitted now. My question is....What are my options? Not really into Lycra, but if thats the best way to go then so be it? Have looked at these so far: Hebo Enduro Hebo Alpino Hebo Pro 09 Clice Zone What are everyones thoughts on fit, etc? I am a 36" waist and 5'11" and around 13.5st so not sure if lycra would be unflattering? Thanks in advance. Steve
  5. Thanks guys, thats what i thought, but just wanted to confirm it. At least i wasn't BARKING up the wrong TREE!! hee hee!
  6. Ok, sorry for being really dumb, but i'm new to this trials thing and have seen loads of references on technique, stating..."be like a tree" Just wondering if someone could give me an explanation as to what it means?? Thanks in advance. Steve
  7. No, was definately NOT that. We were talking about techniques and he gave me loads of good advice but just wouldn't explain the "be like a tree" thing? I've had a look online and found loads of references to it, but no explanation as yet. Ah well, just have to keep looking!
  8. Hiya mate, Just up to the farm again, on the Ruthin/Bala road. Spent most of the day on my slow speed control and balance. Might well be up there again at the weekend if your interested?? Don't know what day yet but a definate possibility.
  9. Thanks for the warm welcome gents. Been out today over to Ruthin and i just have one question......What is this, Be like a Tree????? Met some guy up there and thats the advice he gave me, but never explained himself......he just told me to find out? Thanks in advance. Steve
  10. Morning Kwaka/txt! Thanks for the info, forgot to mention, I'm based in the Holywell area, so not very far from you txt..... Any info you have is more than welcome as i just want somewhere to go reasonably local. Doesn't have to be that big, just somewhere to practice the very basics where i'm not at risk of looking a k**b in front of some infinately better riders?? Cheers Steve
  11. Hi All, I have a problem with my clutch which i hope someone can help me out with as its becoming a pain in the a*** now. When starting from cold each time the bike is used i start the bike as per normal and warm it up. On knocking it into gear (whether that be 1,2,3 etc) the clutch grabs and the bike just drives forward, even when the clutch is pulled in?? What i have to do to stop this is lean the bike over onto its side stand, knock it into gear and let it spin with the clutch pulled in, pick up the revs and stop the rear spinning with the rear brake. I then have to rev the engine quite hard with the rear brake applied and after doing this it then drops to a slight drag on the clutch, but doesn't want to drive forward as before. After riding for around 2-3 minutes the problem disappears completely and doesn't rear its head again until the next time out from cold?? I am running 550ml of oil in the crankcase, as listed in the manual, and using Dexron III AFF as suggested by many. Any help is much appreciated. Steve
  12. Hi All, New to Trials and the whole off road thing to be honest, got hooked after an off road try out day run by another forum i use. Had the last few years riding on track, after getting fed up of nearly being killed riding on the road. Anyway, big accident this year, resulting in 2 breaks to my pelvis and 1 to my back, and its time to slow down for a while so thought trials was the ideal thing to get my bike fix and get me fit at the same time! So far......I love it!! Can't get enough in fact and just want to build on my skill level....or lack of it should i say!! Bought a 2001 GasGas TXT 250 as my first bike and so far have found it a very good introduction and very forgiving. Anyway, can anybody give me some info on where i can get out in the North Wales area, which is novice friendly?? The only place i've been so far is a farm out on the Ruthin to Bala road?? Don't know the name of it, but the farmer's called Llou i think and its a reasonably big place with lots to do so will keep me entertained for a while. Any tips or help appreciated as i've got A LOT to learn. Cheers Steve
