  1. I used a HERO GO PRo camera with their chest mount. I agree, the view of the handlebars is great and the camera stays very still on my chest. I will keep updating videos as the summer unfolds! Cheers!
  2. Thought some of you might like to see.... Part II...
  3. Yes, the safest and the best way to enjoy off-road riding! Congrats-Cheers!
  4. We tried to find somewhere we could not ride, no such luck... My buddy got a trials helmet and it sure is light and breathable, a little snug as he would YELL while trying to talk with the helmet on, but that was probably due to the music playing inside the helmet! He also looks like a tiger! I would rather roll than tip toe my way along this ridge...
  5. Very true, I have been riding mx for the past ten years and when it "happens" it happens, usually quicker than the blink of an eye. When zipping through the woods and a stone takes you down, if you do not have a pressure suit on, you wish you had. I still always wear mine out on the trail, too many times I have been thrown into the dingleberrys and sticks! Just picked up my first trials bike, my buddy got a GG300 a little while back and since he let me ride it, I have been dreaming to get one and finally did a couple of weeks ago, 04 GG300! Since then, the Yammy 450 has been sidelined and the starting QB is my GG! Here is a little glimpse into our garden on our wheelchairs; here is my buddys big ol' pig like mx bike
  6. I agree, if you were creeping along at 2 mph for more than 15 minutes you would begin to boil! I think the riding that I do here in the backcountry of Idaho, clipping along at 30 mph through the woods then proceeding to challenge myself every couple of miles or so through technical, rocky terrain I will still wear a full face helmet, pressure suit and knee/shin guards.... Watching videos of the SSDT I am surprised more riders do not wear more protection. Nobody seems to wear knee cups, elbow/arm guards, full face helmet. I wonder how many riders are injured each year due to lacerations? One certainly could impale body parts hard at 2mph or 30mph. Perhaps 2 helmets, one for pure trials riding and one for trail/trials riding....
  7. I can see that a trials helmet is lightweight and more breathable without face protection, but why do most trials riders not wear helmets with face protection? It seems if you were to slap the ground with your face, the helmet is useless... Saw a video of a guy plant his face on a rock, ouch! Thanks for your patience as I am obviously a newbie! There are certainly lightweight, breathable full face downhill mountain bike helmets made that I am leaning towards purchasing over a true trials helmet, help my decision please. Cheers!
  8. It's interesting, I just acquired an 04' GasGas300 and ride at altitude like uhoh7, I have not overheated yet. Through testing the past three days in a row, two days ago it was 80 degrees at 9000' and climbed from 7000'-9000' in a hurry with no overheating, same with the two other days of riding. Granted my fan works properly right now, the bike has performed like a champion! I have moved the needle down one clip and plan on working on the jetting as I believe it could be better as I purchased a bike that was ridden in Eastern Washington, about 2000', it seems to run a bit rich right now.
  9. Here for knowledge, laughs, smiles and crys... Just got me my first bike, 04' Gas Gas 300 Pro. Also, a June of 09' Fruit of the Loins edition. Smeagol! Cheers
