boofont
You need a 13mm double-depth socket. One thing that might have happend is that a TYZ plug has been fitted. They are 17mm, some folk, me included, have fitted them as the Scorpa one's are made from toffee. I have ground out my bashplate a little though to alow removal. Use 600ml of oil, see the post earlier by nitjay and his middle box. Changed the oil amount after my type error to match the post below. nitjay - hrc
I can vouch for the sump plug being made of toffee, you cant grip mine anymore, another thing to get sorted. Its very hard to get the oil out of the other drain bolt. Btw in my post you said 600mls of oil i think? Also i got the middle box out, and looking at it i think everyone should take it out! To do what Birkett says and stop it rubbing on the edge of the engine casing, there is a huge dent in it. It says to round it off and put silicone layer to act as a cushion. dfwilson
Use a die grinder with a carbide burr and elongate the hole in the skid pan. This allows straight in access to the plug without removing the skid pan. DFW
