December 18, 200619 yr I need a new tank for the Sherpa T 199 i'm restoring. Have looked at the plastic tanks that Bultacouk sell which are in a matt finish. Were the tanks originally in a matt finish, or should i spray the tank to a gloss finish?
December 18, 200619 yr Bultaco plastic tanks where always matt, you wont paint a plastic tank phone Bultaco Uk and they will explain why.
December 18, 200619 yr Howie, The tanks with the matt finish are the plastic tanks and cannot be painted (well..) but the glossy ones, of the type in the picture I sent you. are fibreglass. Very few 199's were supplied with the fibreglass tanks.
December 18, 200619 yr buy one from bultaco uk , there excellent!!! i'd get one asap as who knows how long there still be avalible? not long ago you'd have to search for ages to find a plastic tank (even a scabby one) now dave has had them imported at long last has answered many a bultaco owners prayers!
