Which New Bike ?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of changing my bike in the not too distant future and have narrowed it down to the 07 250 gasser or the 07 250 sherco. I wondered if any one had any advice. I'm 40 year old rider and not very good or likely to be any good so i just want something thats easy to ride but light and responsive

any comments folks?

Think you will get a lot of replies from guys with both bikes saying which is better and slating the other.

Try them both, all bikes are better than the rider

It all depends on what YOU prefer, at the next trial blag a shot on both to see which you prefer, both has their ups and downs!

I've blagged a go on a gasser recently which was good but anyone tried an 07 sherco 250? I don't know anyone who'got one currently!

keep it coming folks

Not actually seen one in the flesh but from what I can gather, reviews etc, they are a cracking bike, much better, smoother than previous years! Better rear shock aswell

If you like blue buy the Sherco. If you like red buy the Gas Gas, or If you like orange buy the Beta. I was going to buy a blue bike to match my eyes but there wasn't one available so i bought a orange bike. I also own a red bike

I've not ridden either of the 07 bikes you mention, but to help you decide; which one is cheapest and can you get a deal on either?

The bikes are so similar that a financial saving might be all it needs to sway you one way or the other.

hi go with the sherco . i had a 2006 , and now own a 2007 sherco they are great bikes . i ride expert they rule

by the way i am 49 , age means nothing if you want to get better , you will get better , and the sherco will put you up there

Hi exiled Yorky,

Also in exile from North Yorks but happily so in NZ!

I have ridden the 07 Sherco 250 and was not too impressed power wise, very soft power delivery off the bottom end and I never could get on well with the steering, but then I ride a 300 Raga and like a bit of torque. The 250 Gasser would not dissapoint, great motor, easy to ride for all levels of rider. For me, I'd pick the GG. Again it boils down to your preference and riding style.

Bye, PeterB.
