April 27, 200719 yr Dougs been stretchered off a number of times even with multiple minders but how do you retain difficulty but have safer sections ? I think they could arrange section obstacles in tight patterns with very small margins of error, but do this on say 5 foot high rocks instead of 20 feet above the ground. It could be just as difficult without being so rediculously dangerous. The FIM seems to think that 15' splatters are a necessity. I disagree and would rather watch a rider working it in technical sections. My 2 pence. Sorry for drifting off topic. Good points all. A single minder will make it riskier, as the FIM is certainly not going to lower the obstacles or make it safer. Although they could and should.
