can anyone give me the air screw setting for the above bike. it is running very rich (sooty plug) and does not start very wel.. i also does not want to rev out (not good when half way up hill)

any help appreciated.

If it's the JT or mikuni just turn in to litley seat then back out 1 turn,should be fine or 1/4 more or less. (pilot)

That only affect's idle to 1/4 throttle. Check for proper float level. Possibly over jetted,might want to drop a size or two. (main)

not likely the main jet as that doesn't come into play much.

check the basics: dirty air filter, exhaust carboned up, carb good cleaning, floats sunk or heavy.

Right^^^^ also check if the choke is free and not sticking,might as well inpect the reeds too.
