June 10, 200719 yr I have just bought my first trials bike, a 1999 montesa 315r. Now I need to learn to ride this thing. I've rode dirt/woods/ desert for years and am ready for a new challange. I have a bunch of pallets to climb over, a couple of 1 1/2 - 2 foot tall logs, and some good hill climbs in the back yard, I figure thats a good starting point but wonder if there are better videos or training sites in the western u.s. Also what about competion in western u.s.? Thanks, Bruce
June 10, 200719 yr Local top riders offer one day schools now and then. That's a great way to learn. Riding with likeminded others is another excellent way to learn too. Lucky for you, Dennis Sweeten and John (Ishy) Isherwood are in your neck of the woods. They'll be able to offer key advice.
