Im looking for advise on what chain to buy i dont have a clue at what all the sizes mean 520 etc can anyone recommend what i should be looking at.

    Not sure but I would bet it's a 520 (link size) . but how many links ? I don't have a clue ! You can always take the chain w/ you to the shop and say I need a new one this long ! And don't put a new chain on old sprocketts , it'll all wear out much faster ! If I remember correctly (which I doubt) each outer plate is one link plus the master .... you can always count them ! Someone please correct me if I don't remember how to count chain links !
