sr34 Posted December 15, 2007 Report Share Posted December 15, 2007 the kick start is in two parts the lower part contains a small bearing that acts as a locater to keep it closed when not in use this bearing has a spring that tensions it what you need to do is remove the srew that holds the top part to the lower part then very slowly remove the top part the bearing should fallout if it dont then the springs more than likely gone please refer to attached picture Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

popeye Posted December 17, 2007 Report Share Posted December 17, 2007 hello mate, i had mine off last weekend, its sounds like the spring/ ball bearing has gone, but what i will say is if you need to take the crank case cover off ensure the nylon bush for the spring is housed correctly, if not it jumps out when back together Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
