February 7, 200818 yr Hi. Im looking to buy a 4rt soon, and was wondering does the standard throttle body output error codes for fault finding, or do i have to have the adjustable throttle body to do this ?
February 7, 200818 yr I have heard a rumour that someone has cracked a code on the standard no PTB to allow you to programme it??? This is just a rumour and is detailed on another forum, but i have yet to find it???
February 7, 200818 yr Author Thanks for the replies, How are the error codes displayed ? Do i need any special equipment to read the codes. If anything goes wrong i would like to keep away from expensive dealers if pos, hence interest in subject. Are there any things to look out for when buying used 4rts? I guess that there are only small different's between year to year?

Like any bike, its always a good idea to buy as later model as you can afford,07 is your best bet as have a better/softer cam shaft, better clutch. And dont be put of by so called DEALERS,its a case of finding a good one,pm me for more info. Ive had lots of help from a dealer, yes ive bought stuff from him,but he has advised and helped me way more than others would have, plus he knows what he is talkin about and doesn sell you stuff you dont need!
