May 6, 200818 yr What bike is it and have you changed the exhaust packing? Running the bike too 'rich' will result in an oily exhaust, which could catch fire...
May 6, 200818 yr Author engine is still hot after cleaning out carb and air filter and the bike has just had a new exhaust

Jon Hi thanks for the replies so far I should have been clearer when I asked about the oil I was meaning the gear oil as mine has now gone below the sight glass. My dad changed the plug it was really dirty. Sammy Millers mate came up he is a veterain and said he thought the bike was running too hot like almost melting the rear mud guard. He isn't into modern bikes but was wondering if maybe the coolant wasn't circulating around the engine. Does the bike have a thermostat? I am now worried about starting it until I know incase I sieze the engine. Hope this makes scense. Waiting in anticipation. Cheers Doogzie.
