January 10, 200917 yr Hey all. My 99 mont has a polished magnesium crank case cover but all teh other ones i see seem to have a kind of bronzey coloured matt finish - any ideas why mine is different??

January 10, 200917 yr Someone has polished it up at some point. I've seen them for sale on ebay from time to time.
January 14, 200917 yr they come painted new, mine were scratched up when I got my bike, so I removed the paint and polished them, the unpainted magniesum takes a lot of maintence to keep it looking nice

Cheers, i do kep mine as shiney as poss, i find it a very satifying job getting the Auto Solv out, reminds me of polishing my old MGB GT - ah the memories. I prefer the polished look to painted. What forks are on your bike in the pic? have any other pics? Ta muchly Dan
January 29, 200917 yr Author Nice looking bike Moto - love those fork tubes. I'm pretty green around teh gill so forgive me. how do you go about getting new tubes/stansions to fit the bottoms - i want gold ones now i have seen those, or red would be nice
