March 16, 200917 yr Just checked the ACU list for the A and B class nationals and it seems we will be back at Bracken Rocks in May. I've never seen two National events at the same venue in the same year before and is surely overkill? On the Plus side Scarborough's excellent IRC trial has made it into the list.
March 16, 200917 yr have to agree seems a bit crazy especially as both rounds seem to be run by emra. Pity clubs such as Y&G or richmond didn't get one can't see the point of the same venue twice
March 17, 200917 yr Author Yeadon & Guiseley were offered a date but withdrew because the date offered clashed with members commitments at that time of year. I'm not sure why Richmond didn't get a date.
March 17, 200917 yr No date was offered at a suitable time of year for us, the same as has happened every year since we ran our A/B round a few years back, so the Club withdrew it's application. On the other hand we are running what has been called a 'SPECIAL' Trial on the 7th of June, now I'm not realy sure what's happening but I'm sure there's a few rumours floating round. I do hope that all the top A & B runners support the event as I know it'll be a major undertaking on the organisation front.
