I just got my first trials bike, and I'm itching to go ride w/ other trials riders, but I think this is the trials-free zone. A few friends and I are riding at Taskers Gap this Sunday (11/28) if anyone wants to join us.

Looking forward to yet another motorcycle pursuit.

You don't know about trials-free zones until you've lived near Philly...the ultimate trials wasteland.

Hook up with Matt Libertore from Trial Zone...he's either in Reston or Herndon (I think). I used to live around there, and I always confused the two.

Herndon should be able to locate him through trialzone@cox.net or look up the number in Trials competition

Thanks guys, I'll look him up... Still no takers on riding at Taskers? We have about 5 guys on regular dirt bikes (now referred to as "fast bikes"?) and I'm bringing both the 315 and my crf.

Welcome to the "Modern Trials Wasteland" that is the DC Area. Actually it's not truely that bad. AMA District 7 puts on a series (5 events maybe) that are run in conjunction with the MAVT (Mid Atlantic Vintage Trials) Series. MAVT runs about 15 events a year, maybe less. Their site is www.mavt.org.

If you are willing to travel a bit, District 6 (PA) has a large series, but most events are quite a haul from Silver Spring. Also, CVOTC (www.cvotc.org), Carolina Virginia Observed Trials Club puts on a series in southern VA and Northern NC.

I would like to welcome you to come out to a NVTR, Northern VA Trail Riders club meeting. We have a growing contingent of trials riders in our club.

A quick caution about Taskers Gap. While it is an awesome place to play with the trials bike, keep in mind that if you are caught by a ranger (specifically Ranger Buck) playing off a designated trail, you will be ticketed.

By the way, My club, NVTR, is sponsoring a trail improvement project out at Taskers Gap this coming weekend, 4-5 December.
