September 22, 200916 yr Hi, The front brake on my Evo 290 has gone very 'severe'. The lever is adjusted fine..there is a small amount of slack then the next micro-meter of movement brings the front brake to instant full lock. This is not how it has been up to now as it had a nice progressive feel. Any suggestions what may have happened and how to fix it? Thanks.
September 22, 200916 yr check both pistons are moving freely in the caliper, if one is a little sticky it can feel like this (i had a similar thing or a road bike)
September 28, 200916 yr If the pads are warn with a slight taper across the face this can happen. Swap the pads over LHS goes to RHS and vise-versa.
