Evo Brake Too Severe

Featured Replies

Hi, The front brake on my Evo 290 has gone very 'severe'. The lever is adjusted fine..there is a small amount of slack then the next micro-meter of movement brings the front brake to instant full lock.

This is not how it has been up to now as it had a nice progressive feel. Any suggestions what may have happened and how to fix it? Thanks.

check both pistons are moving freely in the caliper, if one is a little sticky it can feel like this (i had a similar thing or a road bike)

If the pads are warn with a slight taper across the face this can happen. Swap the pads over LHS goes to RHS and vise-versa.
