Hi guys,

My girlfriend's 1996 Techno 250 is having electrical issues. We've narrowed it down to either the coil or the CDI. The stator is good (we originally thought this was the problem but it is good). The dealer wants a small fortune for the CDI box so we're wondering if we can find it for cheaper. Dealer quoted around $290 CDN for the CDI box. Please let me know if you know of anything cheaper.

    Gday, have you measured the coil and checked the plug cap? Also double checked the loom and the kill switch? Best to do that first, CDI's rarely give trouble.

    We're replacing the coil first (doesn't seem to be working too well) but I just want to cover my bases. No idea what the system is. Stator looks like a crossover from a Ducati.
