Has anybody out there done the flywheel mod on the 175 as on the birkett website ?? does it make a difference ? i have just got a ttr125 flywheel of e-bay and was going to put that one on a diet,any problems with doing this mod ??

yep i done it to my 07 175f makes a world of difference, picks up a lot better and quicker. Only problem with doing it is the engine will stall a bit easier but I would fully recommend it :o

Where is the weight taken from is it from circumferance or the face of the flywheel each would give a different power curve. I thought Birkett recommendation was removing too much. What about a half measure.

I got mine taken off the face and made a good little bike even better.
