January 27, 201016 yr Hello All I have a M199A Frame that has been modified for a sidecar. The Wheelbase has been shortened about 3". Mt grand plan is to undo the mods and put back to standard. Would someone please comfirm the correct wheel base, I have 51.7" I am also after some pictures of a bare frame, particuarly around the steering head. I think the frame is worth restoring it would be a shame to scrape it. Regards Trials09
January 27, 201016 yr This is the best picture I have for the frame on my M198. The steering head detail will be the same as what your M199A should be like. I will take some bare frame pictures on the weekend if no-one else has before then Regards David
January 27, 201016 yr There is a 198a frame, which is the same, for sale on ebay UK which you can look at. The picture isn't the best but you can still see the headstock area. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BULTACO-1970S-TRIALS...=item2eaa7fee14 Also a 199 frame which you can see the headstock on more clearly http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1978-sherpa-350cc-pr...=item33598f16cd Wheelbase would be between 52 and 53". It's unusual they have shortened it for a sidecar, usually they are lengthened on the swingarm.
February 3, 201016 yr Here are some close up frame shots of a M199-A. Ignore the cracks and color :-) Hope this helps. I can get you different angles if needed. Edited February 3, 201016 yr by gomey68
