February 27, 201016 yr Sat wide awake thinking (sad *******) about my first trials bikes back in 82, a 1971 Montesa 247 Cota followed by a TY 175. Technology made a big step in 83 with the TY250 monoshock as i saw Mr Scarlett on one at Steetly quarry. I stopped in 84 only to return in 90 to see the Beta Zero water cooled and then stopped in 94. I once again returned to trials in 98 to see the hydraulic clutch to which was the last major improvement i can really think of. I was wondering what will the next major advances be on the trials bike be ? maybe gas only shock like on the mountain bikes or CVT gearbox. I guess injection two stroke will be happening as the new Ossa comes back to market.
