Hi, recently my Jtx was running fine, but its now decided that it wants to be a pain, it keeps spluttering and dying and will only start on the choke, and it still dies if i leave it on tick over, i warm it through by keeping revs on.. like the tinyest amount so it doesnt die and put the choke off again and itl rev for a bit, like before, a tiny amount then it dies again, i cleaned the airfilter, carb and spark plug but it still decides to be a pain, i heard perhaps i should start my bike without my airbox on and see if its getting enough air, if not i got told again i should re-empty my tank and re-clean my carb and see what happens, but if theres anyway of saving me time then id like to know as it'd be a great help, if anyone can shed some light on this situation itd be muchly appreciated

I would clean the carb again paying particular attention to the pilot jet. Blow it out and look through to verify that it is clean and that all surrounding ports in the carb body are clean. Fresh gas would also be a good idea. If there is water is the gas, a little drop of water can attach to a jet and limit flow. It can be most annoying to diagnose and solve.
