My friend has a 2005 Raga 300 and has noticed that the rubber between the airbox and carb has lost its shape, so bad thats its almost impossible to get it tight on the carb. Anyone else seen this problem????????????

Yep. If he's got the separate reed block its not so bad because you can just buy the later aluminium Raga inlet and easily renewed rubber inlet tube. But if he's got the all in one moulded inlet and reed block its much more expensive to replace and sort out. I reckon he'll have the separate reed block and inlet rubber which was used on the old 96 370 that had a big Dellorto carb. It didn't fit the Keihin that well even when it was new.

Sorry Scotty, I clearly need to brush up on my speed reading skills. No, I've never encountered that problem. What's he running it on?

Hi Scotty, mine was like that when I bought it. New ones are only a tenner from Haven, but I treated mine with the wifes hairdryer. Get it nice and warm and yank it into place. Clamp it up to the carb inlet and allow it to cool. So far, 2 trials later, it's still ok.
