Hello,

I have Sherco 3.2 4T 2008 for about a month and it's my first trial bike. It is normal that I can hear the clicking of the valves? I checked the valve play on cold engine and on intake was approx. 0,11 - 0,12 and on the exhaust valve was approx. 0,16 - 0,17. I have other 4T like Honda and Husqvarna and I've never heard so loud clicking.

Thank you : )

Btw. Can you someone tell me, how to get the valve cover off without having to demount the whole engine? :)

its more likey to be the auto decompresser that you can hear clicking...

the valve gaps that you gave are within torrerance...

They all sound a bit agriculture compared to a honda montesta...

enjoy as they are a nice bike...

If you hear the clicking get louder while riding slowly.....that is the decompressor kicking in and you need to bump your idle speed up a bit. There is really no need to have the bike idling really slow, and my bike was set too slow from the factory. When I bumped the idle up a little it was easier to ride and a bit harder to accidently stall.

No no, I don't mean decompresor. Decompresor is very noisy and only in low RPM. I mean "clicking" from valve. I wont from Husqvarna that I can not hear any "clicking", but if it's normal, I will not solve.

Thank you for reply.
