October 9, 201015 yr fantic 125/200. back kick minarelli engine If the bike is in gear and push the bike foward (engine not running) when i pull the clutch in it doesnt free wheel.. any idea what the problem is? cheers
October 9, 201015 yr Sounds like you have a frozen crotch i mean clutch,if bike been standing long time the clutch plates stick together,whack the case off and have alook at plates.
October 9, 201015 yr Author took clutch cover off. clutch plates seem to be moving freely when pulling clutch the lever.
October 9, 201015 yr you really need to disassemble the clutch, as the drive plates and driven plates, could move as your saying, but stuck together. I personally would have driven the bike (in a high gear ) with the clutch lever pulled in with lots of throttle and your foot on the footbrake (put some torque through the clutch). This is always my 1st thing to try, to free a clutch, before taking it to bits. Edited October 9, 201015 yr by ask greeves
October 10, 201015 yr Author cheers for the info - took the clutch off, the clutch plates were binded together because its been idle. seperated then all clutch now working fine.
